    Position Overview:

    This position is responsible for managing a comprehensive, integrated program that covers all aspects promotions, fundraising and development for Pace Alachua.

    Grant Writing Experience is strongly preferred.

    Role and Responsibilities UNRESTRICTED FUNDINGProduce a long term unrestricted funding stream capable of growthIdentify, cultivate and solicit gifts from individuals through regular donor gatherings, tours and ask eventsMaintain database of donors and prospectsHelp plan, develop and execute fundraising special eventsWrite, edit, and produce all appeal materialsGRANT FUNDINGProduce consistent restricted funding that meet and support the program's growth objectivesResearch and identify grant opportunitiesParticipate in the development of grant conceptsProduce written grant proposalsManage relationships with grantorsPROMO AND PEBuild awareness within the community of the center success and the need for gender responsive programming for girls.

    Write, edit and produce newsletters, or other promotional brochuresWrite and distribute press releases.

    Maintain relationships with media contactsWrite public presentationsParticipate in and/or present at gender advocacy opportunitiesRepresent Pace in public speaking opportunitiesBOARD MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENTHelp create and maintain a highly motivated, active, informed, effective board of directors.

    Support the ED in communications to the board Support the ED in board orientations and trainingManage all non-direct service volunteersQualifications and Education RequirementsRequiredA Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years' experience in development or a related field.

    At least 3 years of a proven track record in fundraising and developmentAbility to work collaboratively and as a team player.

    Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills; effective time management and organizational skills; attention to details, good at proofreading.

    Experience and an aptitude for using internet and social media to enhance development and marketing activities of the Pace Broward.

    Upholds the ethical and confidentiality standards of Pace Center for Girls.


    Working knowledge in:
    Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, Facebook, Constant Contact or other newsletter/publisher softwareCurrent Florida driver's license required.
    Other RequirementsMust adhere to Agency Values and Principles.
