    Unifi Aviation is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our organization as a

    Labor Relations Specialist .

    The position is part of the Legal & Risk Department, which provides shared-services support to the group's aviation services providers and its nationwide facilities maintenance company.

    This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in labor relations.

    Working under the direction of the Director of Labor Relations, this position will assist to develop and execute labor relations strategies that align with business and HR objectives, ensuring effective employee relations and compliance with labor laws.


    Responsibilities:


    Learn and apply labor laws, regulations, and principles of labor relations, including the Railway Labor Act (RLA) and National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).

    Assist the Director of Labor Relations and Director of Human Resources in day-to-day labor relations activities, including contract administration, grievance handling, and employee relations.

    Participate in labor contract negotiations, observing and learning negotiation techniques and strategies.
    Conduct research on labor relations topics, such as industry trends, best practices, and relevant case law.
    Assist in the preparation and review of labor contracts, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

    Support the investigation and resolution of employee grievances and disciplinary matters, under the guidance of the Director of Labor Relations and Director of Human Resources.

    Collaborate with HR staff and other departments to integrate labor relations considerations into policies and procedures.
    Maintain accurate records and documentation related to labor relations activities.
    Provide training related to labor relations topics to operations management.
    Undertake special projects and assignments as assigned by the Director of Labor Relations and Director of Human Resources.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in human resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
    Strong interest in labor relations, with a desire to develop skills and build a career in the field.
    Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining concepts is a plus, but not required.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
    Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
    Ability to travel 25% of the time.
