    Description


    This individual analyzes, designs, supports, and documents enterprise message and file transfer systems, serves as an integral project leader by actively participating in the design of systems solutions, managing configuration, testing, quality control, implementation, and provides ongoing support to users through training, maintenance and troubleshooting.

    This also requires provisioning, modifying, and terminating access to secure systems within the Paycom environment.

    This position requires an individual that can work well in a team environment and is able to partner closely with supporting teams (Desktops, Infrastructure, Development, Information Security and Risk) for successful project collaboration.
    RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms technical assessments, analysis, configurations, testing and documentation of new or existing systems.

    Assists in implementation, maintenance and upgrades of 3rd party SaaS and Client-Server software application systems.
    Conducts market research as it pertains to a given set of solution requirements.
    Communicates with external vendors for systems and third-party applications.
    Documents processes and designs of systems and software.

    Uses knowledge of current applications, interfaces, and data structures to provide input for solutions and provide input to business units.

    Interacts with end users by providing references and support.
    Understands points of interaction and impact on other systems across the enterprise.
    Assists with the installation of maintenance/patches and software upgrades.
    Must be detail oriented and process driven. Must be able to enforce policy driven security practices and maintain strong ethics while doing so.
    Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential and secure above all else.

    Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.


    Documentation:

    Documents specific duties, activities, processes, problems solved and issues resolved.
    Assists in writing user and admin training guides when necessary.

    Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requestedPerforms additional duties and assignments as requested
    Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related discipline


    Experience:

    2+ years of enterprise software and server administration or similar experienceExperience with systems implementation projects
    Skills/Abilities:Can evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow and determine solutionsCan easily adapt and learn new software systems and technologyCan establish storage usage and requirementsHas excellent written and verbal communication skillsCan Interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and proceduresCan provide technical assistance for computer problemsCan read and understand technical manualsCan work for extended time at keyboard/terminalCan maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkersCan work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
