    Annual Starting Salary: $60,000+

    Whatare we looking for?

    The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will ensure all products and services provided by suppliers meet the correct quality requirements.

    The SQE will support the quality team when communicating with suppliers regarding quality issues and will be responsible for conducting audits of supplier facilities and completing the supplier scorecard process.

    The SQE reports to the Strategic Sourcing Manager and collaborates with the Engineering and Quality Management Teams.

    Requirements:

    What specifically will you be doing?

    • Research the global market and initiate supplier relationships for key materials in existing product lines.
    • Works with Engineering, Quality, and the Strategic Sourcing Manager to ensure new suppliers meet quality, compliance, and cost standards for TGC. This includes supplier establishment in TGC's ERP system.
    • Coordinate with Business Development (BD) to integrate sourced items into product line. This will include working with the Engineering team to qualify new materials to match needed specifications.
    • Work with suppliers (including remote and in person meetings) and the TGC Quality Team to resolve Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) in a timely manner. This would include aiding in the implementation of advanced quality practices (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, cPKs) with suppliers.
    • Generate and distribute Supplier Scorecards annually and monitor supplier performance. This can include identifying candidates for onsite audits and execution of the audits with Supply Chain and Quality Team members.
    • Facilitate enterprise-wide sourcing projects by working with personnel from both corporate and individual facilities. This will include continuous improvement projects related to TGC processes and documentation.
    • Monitor the market via attendance at trade shows to determine opportunities to expand TGC's product line.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

    Qualifications and Competencies

    • Preferred experience in sourcing engineering materials or products for industrial application.
    • Preferred experience/education in Quality Management Systems.

    Education and Experience

    • Technical degree or business/supply chain degree with demonstrated sufficient technical skills.
    • Preferred experience in sourcing engineering materials or products for industrial application.
    • Preferred experience/education in Quality Management Systems.

    Travel

    Employee must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
