- Managethe usage and performance of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
- Maintain network securityand ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Evaluate hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment.
- Participate in and may leadaspects of major network installations and upgrades.
- Interface with vendorsto ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Develop and implement testing strategiesand document results.
- Provideadvice and trainingto end-users.
- Offerlocal on-call/call-back touch labor support.
- Manage the network componentsof a global information system.
- Patch/upgrade firmware, change components, and maintain the network.
- Configure switches, routers, and crypto devices.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active DoD Secret or Top SecretSecurity Clearance
- CompTIA Security CEequivalent or higher.
- Bachelor's DegreeinComputer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts or three (3) yearsof relevant experience in place of degree requirement.
- Experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, and remote desktop (Citrix).
- Familiarity with Juniper network equipment.
- Microsoft or related certification.
- Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Brocade Certified Professional.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
