    Apex Systems is looking to fill an AWS Cloud Security Engineer with a large client of ours out of the North Palm Beach, FL. The client needs someone who has strong background in AWS Cloud, Cyber Security in the cloud and certifications in AWS and CISSP or CCSP. If you're interested in this role, please apply directly.

    Position: AWS Cloud Security Engineer

    Rate: 75-95/hr on W2

    Length: Contract to Hire

    Location: North Palm Beach, FL

    Onsite Requirements: 3 days a week onsite

    Project Details:

    The team is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer with AWS knowledge to help with detecting the vulnerabilities from all the configurations they are implementing this year. They have 4-6 large security initiatives just this year. This person will monitor the AWS environment for vulnerabilities. Will be working with the tech team running with the projects and efforts to solve issues of what the tool finds.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administers, operates and monitors the company's information security sensors, logging, alerting and other detection mechanisms to identify and respond to threats
    • Acts as subject matter expert for one or multiple assigned cybersecurity technology stacks (e.g., firewall management, identity and access management, network intrusion detection and prevention, host based security tools)
    • Security Assessments and Planning: Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the cloud environment. Develop and implement security enhancements for cloud-based systems across AWS Cloud environment.
    • Incident Response - Lead and participate in security incident response efforts remotely. Conduct post-incident analysis to improve security measures and prevent future breaches.
    • Manage and maintain the Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP)/Cloud security posture management (CSPM) Platforms
    • Collaborates with cyber security team to identify, evaluate and recommend new security technologies for suitability within the company's environment and security posture
    • Communicates ongoing cybersecurity activities, priorities and risk measurements or mitigations at multiple organizational levels
    • Provides guidance for security activities and requirements in the system development life cycle (SDLC) and application development efforts. Participates in organizational projects, as required

    Must Haves:

    • 5+ years of cyber security
    • AWS certification – solution architect
    • CISSP or CCSP
    • Good communication

    Nice to Haves:

    • AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification
