    Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

    Location: 45 minutes outside Raleigh, NC

    Job Type: Full-time, Contract

    Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students overcome communication disorders and thrive academically and socially. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population in a supportive and collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
    2. Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
    3. Providing direct therapy services to students both individually and in group settings.
    4. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' communication goals within the classroom and school environment.
    5. Monitoring students' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
    6. Providing education and support to parents and caregivers to enhance students' communication skills outside of the school setting.
    7. Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to support the overall goals of the school district.
    8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards and school policies.

    Qualifications:

    1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    2. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of North Carolina.
    3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
    4. Previous experience working with school-aged children with a variety of speech and language disorders.
    5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
    6. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for speech and language disorders.
    7. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the individual needs and learning styles of students.
    8. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
