SAIC is looking for a candidate that will be an integral participant in spacecraft payload Antenna and Electronics requirements development, design analysis, test, and verification.
Key areas of focus include antenna design trades, performance predictions and/or evaluations, system impact evaluations, hardware assembly & test, and antenna subsystem integration.
Experienced in assessing the feasibility of new antennas & feed electronics designs, antenna & feed electronics manufacturing, and knowledgeable of launch & flight operations of space vehicles.
Reviews and coordinates on changes to specifications, ICDs, and system level requirements documentation for spacecraft. Tracks development issues and attends unit, subsystem, system level design reviews. Supports launch and spacecraft on-orbit test as required. Identifies and assesses emerging risks and develop & evaluate proposed burn-down plans. Reviews developer's readiness to proceed into spacecraft test at various levels of assembly.Job Duties include:
Provides expert advice and coordination concerning antenna and associated electronics development
Assess feasibility of new antennas and antenna functionality elements
Review antenna manufacturing specifications for accuracy and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
Develop antenna models for performance evaluations and predictions
Reviews and coordinates changes to specifications, ICDs, and system level requirements documentation for spacecraft
Tracks development issues and attends unit, subsystem, system level design reviews
Identifies and assesses emerging risks and develops & evaluates proposed burn-down plans
