- Acts as a machine controls and electrical subject matter expert and assists Maintenance in troubleshooting machine control problems when additional resources and skills are needed.
- When necessary, will be a focal person to work with external technical resources to problem solve and implement solutions.
- Will develop and monitor the training program for the Electrical Maintenance team.
- Assists in Machine upgrade projects, including investigations, cost estimates, project planning,
- Knowledge of PLCs, Drives, Motors, Power distribution, and Manufacturing electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting various PLC languages and drive systems.
- Understanding Process Control & Instrumentation (temperature, flow, pressure, level, etc.) and Power Distribution (480 VAC & below).
- Understanding of Ladder Logic, Functional Block Diagrams, or Structured Text Programming.
- Bachelors's Degree in Electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
- 2-4 Years of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Electrical Code Training is preferred.
- Technically proficient Allen-Bradley and Siemens software applications

This role provides technical support to the Maintenance Team. Maintain Electrical and Controls Systems and perform a vital role in designing and developing systems for manufacturing operations. They will design layout, materials and information flow, or machine placement. They will also be responsible for increasing production efficiency by evaluating performance and proposing and implementing improvements. In the role of a controls engineer, you will oversee the Maintenance of various types of Production and supporting equipment. This position will troubleshoot, modify, research, test, and analyze ideas for possible system and process improvements. Success in this role will be demonstrated by meeting safety and quality standards while driving revenue increases through improved production processes.
