SummaryAs a Staff Accountant at NewSpace, you will play a vital role in managing billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
This includes construction-related billing through pay applications, processing invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and resolving billing issues while collaborating with internal teams and clients.
ResponsibilitiesGenerate and send invoices for all company services, including construction-specific billing, contractor progress billing, and AIA pay applications.
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
Apply payments, reconcile accounts, and resolve billing issues.
Match receiving documents to vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and process payments.
Reconcile credit card receipts with corresponding statements and enter data into the system.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial close, audits, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is preferred.
Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles.
Effective collections and credit management.
Detail-oriented with strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to analyze financial data effectively and provide insights.
Previous experience in a similar accounting role is required.

$50,000 to $70,000 annually based on specific related accounting experience
