Senior Electrical Engineer

Onsite (Every other Friday off)

Compensation: $170k-$190k/year + 3.5% 401k

Near Van Nuys, California

Position Summary:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be instrumental in leading our engineering projects, focusing on FPGA and PCB design and layout for high-speed electronic circuits. This role encompasses the entire lifecycle of electronic systems, from design to implementation, requiring strong technical expertise, innovative problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving technical excellence and innovation within the Space/Defense sectors.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency in FPGA design (Verilog/System Verilog, IP Cores, Test Bench Development, Timing Closure).
• Expertise in PCB design including RF design, signal conditioning, and power distribution circuits.
• Strong experience in PCB layout (materials selection, board stack up) with knowledge of IPC standards.
• Familiarity with environmental testing methods (thermal, vibration, EMC/EMI).
• Experience with interface protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, Ethernet).
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits and FPGA firmware.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Altium Designer
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Understanding of video formats (SDI, NTSC, PAL, HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort).
• Familiarity with Aerospace and Defense standards (DO-160, DO-254, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810).
