- Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of productions and scheduled delivery dates.
- Plans production operations, establishes priorities and sequences for products.
- Coordinates operational needs and activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications.
- Assure all required paperwork is completed and turned-in as required. Includes but are not limited to; raw material usage, finished product production, downtime, production time, personnel counts, HACCP paperwork, accident reports, work orders, and time and attendance reports.
- Confirms line operations are implemented to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and that an ongoing process of continuous improvement (CI) is foundational.
- Ensures products conform to specification and meet all food safety and quality (FSQA) requirements as directed in working with the quality assurance department.
- Timely and cost-effective manufacture of products through increased efficiency, quality standards, and company objectives.
- Five years of experience in manufacturing preferred
- At least five years of supervisory experience
- Bi-lingual is preferred.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of both scheduling procedures and costing of products is required to ensure the production of products.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and develop action plans.
- Ability to train, coach and support direct team.
