- Perform wastewater engineering planning and design projects under the direction of senior staff.
- Prepare preliminary and final civil/water
- Work with the engineering team on day-to-day engineering decisions.
- Assist senior staff with client and/or agency meetings and discussions.
- Manage younger staff as needed.
- Attend site visits and meetings as needed.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 5+ years of engineering experience, including wastewater pumping and process design, civil-site utility plans, storm, and sanitary sewer design.
- 5+ years of increasing design experience including coordination or multiple disciplines and the preparation of complete design deliverables.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) License or Professional Engineer (PE) in New York preferred.
- Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of sewer systems.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and MS Office software. InfoWater is a plus.
- Technical report writing experience.
- Client interaction experience and the ability to assist or direct project meetings.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
- Eagerness to learn and take direction.
- Project experience with NYCDEP is preferred.
- Affiliation and active participation in Professional Organizations (e.g. NYWEA/NJWEA, ASCE)
