    Anesthesia Specialist 3 Months7a - 3:30pFalls Church, VA ( Possibility to go perm)

    Responsibilities:
    Maintaining and repairing medical equipment, particularly with a focus on anesthesia equipment.

    Will need to send a ticket in for equipment that is not working properly esures the safe and effective operation of anesthesia equipmentKnowledge of equipment such as Glidescope, Sonosite (ultrasound machine), Rapid Infuser, Flow machine, etcWould like for someone to know to to troubleshoot Rapid InfuserComfortable working in Cath lab, Cancer center, OR, CBOR, etcAccurately records quality control monitors on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

    Conducts quality control procedures after repair or service to equipment.
    Understands the importance for quality improvement monitors and can list the primary quality improvement indicators for the equipment areas.
    Keeps flow modules marked for odd/even rotation.
    Maintains schedule and regularly changes flow sensors.
    Recognizes and is knowledgeable of hospital and The Joint Commission policies, national safety goals and recommendations.
    Disassembles, cleans, and assembles equipment in accordance with department, vendor, biomed and infection control policies and procedures.
    Consistently and accurately performs testing and calibration on equipment according to department and vendor standards.
    Maintains schedule for preventive maintenance of equipment. Knowledgeable of biotechnology to include anesthesia machine checks, alarm diagnosis and troubleshooting.
    Provides education, training, and orientation to staff members as necessary and appropriate.
    Actively seeks ways to assist other members of the healthcare team. Is generally recognized by peers and supervisory staff as collaborative and helpful.
    Consistently manages and organizes work time effectively.
    • Meets regularly with leadership team to advise on maintenance and repair status of anesthesia equipment.

    BLS certification but can obtain BLS at work if they do not have one or expired
    • High School Diploma 2 years of experience in anesthesiology required; Completion of GE vendor training course to be completed within six months of hire; Completion of anesthesia technician orientation program within 3 months.
