- Data Strategy Development: Develop and implement data strategy to align with overall organizational strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
- Data Modeling: Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support application development and business intelligence needs
- Database Management: Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of database management systems. Implement and enforce data security policies to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks to enhance overall system efficiency
- Data Governance: Establish metadata standards and processes to ensure data lineage, quality, and governance. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, and technical specifications
- Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data management, recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational effectiveness
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 2+ years working as a Data Architect or in a similar role, with a strong background in database design and data integration
- Expertise in .NET development and Microsoft Fabric
- Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Python and Cognos skills are a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data security best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
