Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice - Podiatrist

Job Summary:
The Department of Orthopedics at the University of Colorado is seeking an experienced board-certified Podiatrist.
All candidates must have completed a 3-year residency, have an interest in developing a clinical practice and research endeavors, and participate in our resident/fellowship education program.
Interest in Wound Care is a strong plus.Key Responsibilities:
Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet.
Treat conditions such as corns, calluses, ingrown nails, tumors, shortened tendons, bunions, cysts, and abscesses by surgical methods.
Treat conditions such as osteomyelitis, necrotizing fasciitis, or chronic infected wounds through surgical intervention.
Educate patients about the benefits of foot care.
Advise patients about treatments and foot care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems.
Manage diabetic foot conditions.
Correct deformities by means of custom orthoses, plaster casts and/or strapping in conjunction with an orthotist.
Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results.

Board Certification by the ABPM or ABFAS as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine
Completion of a three-year residency

Strong interest/Fellowship in Wound Care and Amputation Prevention.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
$240,000 - $280,000
