- Deliver world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive service experience for all customers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are adhered to, stay shaded and hydrated, and always wear appropriate protective gear.
- Maintain effective communication with the service and parts department.
- Install Yamaha and Mercury engines outboard engines and rigging according to manufacturer specifications.
- Prep various boat systems as found in the boat lines we represent.
- Perform mechanical rigging including but not limited to PowerPoles, propellors, batteries, trim tabs, turbo swing, etc.
- Perform electronics rigging including but not limited to GPS, VHF, GOST, radars, autopilots, SeaKeepers, etc.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and other preventive measures to ensure the overall health and performance of the boat.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Adhere to industry standards and regulations to ensure that repairs and modifications meet safety and environmental requirements.
- Ensure all warranty repairs are completed according to manufacturers and company guidelines.
- Complete manufacturer and company required paperwork, and relay to appropriate person.
- Safely transport and operate customer vessel during water testing.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good repair and returned to proper storage location at end of shift.
- Monitor safety and condition of company vehicle and trailers. Notify Service manager of maintenance, damage, or repairs needed immediately upon discovery.
- Participate in setup, breakdown and throughout special events including boat shows, and any other on or off-site promotions.
- Positively promote the company brand, attitude, and lifestyle.
- Maintain awareness and adhere to company policies.
- Attend training seminars and certification classes as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Technical or vocational training in marine mechanics preferred
- 5 years of experience in boat rigging, marine mechanics, or a related field
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and assembly
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a keen eye for detail and precision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
