    Director of Forensic Genetics & Professor of Forensic Genetics & Human Identification

    College of Dental Medicine

    The Director of Forensic Genetics will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Director of Forensic Anthropology and the Director of Forensic Odontology in the College of Dental Medicine.

    2) conduct and direct scholarly activities, including development of a robust research program with emphasis in forensic genetic and multidisciplinary approaches to human identification; 3) apply for research grants and publish research data in relevant peer-reviewed academic journals; 5) design and coordinate Forensic Continuing Education (CE) courses; and 6) provide forensic genetic testing and consultation services to the local, regional, national, and international community.

    PhD in Molecular Biology, Forensic Genetics, Cell Biology, or other similar (relevant) field; 10 years of experience in forensic DNA testing of highly decomposed or skeletonized human remains; and 3 years of administrative experience.

    In addition, the candidate should be an established researcher with a reputable publication record and a strong commitment to forensic genetic education, training, research, and service to the community.
