    Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

    *This role contingent upon award*

    *Highly prefer candidates with a Public Trust Clearance and prior federal agency experience.*

    *Must be able to reasonably commute within 10-15 mile radius to client site based in Chicago, IL. This is on-site work.*

    *Must have strong proficiency in Azure Cloud.*

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Designs, implements, and maintains networking infrastructure.

    · Monitors network performance, conducts troubleshooting, and ensures network security.

    · Implements network upgrades and enhancements, including new technologies and capacity expansions.

    · Collaborates with security analysts to enforce network security policies and procedures.

    · Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.

    · Manage network security tools and protocols.

    · Troubleshoot network issues and optimize network performance.

    · Implement network security measures and compliance with IT security policies.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    · 10 years of IT experience providing Tier 3 support level.

    · 10 years of experience working in a Tier-3 Cisco network support environment, designing, documenting, and supporting the LAN/WAN networks, supporting firewalls, and supporting enterprise wireless solutions.

    · 10 years of experience performing hands-on implementation of Cisco firewalls (FPR 4112, FMC, ASA 5555) and related hardware and software. This includes installation, configuration (ACLs, NAT'ing, Site-to-site and remote Virtual Private Networks - VPNs), maintenance, troubleshooting, IOS upgrades, and AnyConnect configuration.

    · 10 years of experience performing hands-on implementation of network infrastructure including: core switches (Cisco Nexus 7k), edge switches (Catalyst 9300-U/UXM, 3850, 3650), routers (ASR 1006, ASR 1001, 8300), bandwidth management appliances, related hardware, and software. This includes installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and IOS upgrades.

    · 10 years of experience with the design, configuration and troubleshooting of the routing protocols, including but not limited to, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec).

    · 7 years of experience designing and performing hands-on implementation of a secured enterprise wireless systems with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) including WLC 5520/9800 and security standards including Extensible Authentication Protocol Transport Layer Security (EAP-TLS)/Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (PEAP). This includes installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and IOS upgrades.

    · 7 years of experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). This includes configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco ISE's TACACS, RADIUS, RULES, Policy Sets, Posture, Authentication/Authorization for Wired/Wireless networks.

    · 5 years of experience with network monitoring and management tools such as Solarwinds and Cisco DNA center.

    · 5 years of experience with Cisco VoIP infrastructure, operations and IVR technologies.

    · 3 years of experience with Managed Trusted Internet Protocol Service (MTIPS) and Public IP infrastructure. This includes configuration and troubleshooting circuits with public IPs.

    · 2 years of general Windows Server Operating System experience with hands-on experience working and understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.

    · Cisco networking equipment (Cisco Nexus 7k, Cisco Catalyst 9300-U/UXM, Cisco ASR 1000 series Routers), firewall models (Cisco FPR 4112, Cisco FPR 2130, Cisco ASA 5555)

    · Proficient in network security protocols and tool

    · U.S. Citizens Required. Active Public Trust Clearance preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

    Education: Associate Degree or higher (Desired)

    Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). (Required).

    ITIL certification preferred.

    Security Certification (e.g. CISSP) and Azure Implementation are major pluses.
