- Leads and manages the resort's Maintenance department.
- Develops and implements maintenance procedures to ensure efficient operation and longevity of all resort equipment, systems, and facilities.
- Provides technical guidance and support to Maintenance team members, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintains accurate logs and records as required.
- Troubleshoots technical issues and implements corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
- Conducts regular inspections and maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operations of various equipment and facilities.
- Effectively and professionally communicates with coworkers and supervisor.
- Ensures compliance with all safety and environmental regulations in accordance with local laws and industry standards.
- Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected.
- Responsible for the safety of the department and buildings.
- Administers the preventative maintenance program as required, properly completing work orders on time.
- Completes training regarding safety, security, department procedures, and service guidelines; conducts training of coworkers and subordinates as required.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Meets with vendors and suppliers to discuss scope of, and products and materials used in, repair activities.
- Obtains pricing and bids, or develops cost estimates as directed.
- Collaborates with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Food and Beverage, to address maintenancerelated issues promptly and efficiently.
- Supervises and assists Maintenance staff in maintaining and repairing fire and life safety systems, room equipment, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, kitchen appliances, refrigeration equipment, pool equipment, lighting, laundry equipment and other systems/equipment as directed.
- HVAC Certification.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification.
- Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification.
- Driver's Licenses (noncommercial) must be statespecific.
- Skilled in multiple areas such as HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
- Must be willing and able to be responsive to maintenance complaints.
- Able to motivate and lead a team.
- Computer proficiency in Google Workspace.
