Position
The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is the U.S. Government agency in charge of designing, building, launching, and maintaining America's intelligence satellites.

Apogee's ideal System Engineering and System Integration functions to assist the transition of newly developed capabilities into operating and maintained baselines.
What You'll Do
Provide independent, unbiased assessments and status of technical capabilities
Write the necessary technical, test, user, operating, and maintenance documentation
Support or conduct characterization, calibration, verification, and/or validation tests
Participate in or support Review Boards for development and transition
Provide full transition lifecycle support from project acceptance into operational supported frameworks. This includes working with lab development teams on transition opportunities and software design considerations that maximize probability of transition.
Perform outreach, such as attending various technical forums and Program Management Reviews, to understand acquisition roadmaps, development frameworks and strategy of potential transition partners and share that knowledge with the government and development teams.
Attend all local lab Engineering Review Boards; input could span from crafting initial strategies and transition targets for on-boarded projects to detailed technical assessments for projects seeking government approval.
Identify systems, functionality, and developments that may be seen as similar to lab effort and provide detailed technical assessments that identify the uniqueness or niche functionality of each.
Perform detailed IV&V; this includes creating test plans and procedures, orchestrating cooperative collection/experiments, identifying "gold-copy" data sets and evaluating the results of cooperative experiments to articulate true performance and technical readiness levels of developed capabilities.
Write technical documentation to include IV&V reports, User Manuals, Technical Forum Briefings, Transition Working Group briefings, Concept of Operations documents, and any other documentation packages required for technical transition.
Orchestrate cooperative testing activities; this includes assisting the logical planning, set-up, placement, and utilization of collection postures required.Assist with the transition of new and innovative capabilities that demonstrate mission utility and intelligence value.
