    Overview


    The Director of Vascular Clinics has responsibility for the strategic direction, efficient day to day operations, coordination of initiatives for growth, quality and safety, patient experience, physician integration, employee engagement, accreditation and regulatory standards and fiscal management of the Vascular clinics.

    The Director – Vascular Clinics works in collaboration with the senior director, clinic leadership, hospital/clinic administrative leaders and medical leaders to ensure system wide objectives achieved through thoughtful planning and implementation.

    Responsibilities Job Description

    Provides operational clinic leadership. Actively manages staff and oversees clinic operations.
    Ensures a respectful and healthy work environment for a diverse workforce.
    Creates budgets (volume, FTE and Capital). Assures adherence to meeting or exceeding budget
    Promotes continuous quality improvement, using all available tools (huddle boards, scorecards etc.) Engages staff in quality improvement activities.
    Assures regulatory readiness for their clinics.
    Drive clinic performance and continuous improvement.

    Monitors key operational metrics and driving process improvement within the vascular clinics achieving key performance metrics for quality & safety, efficiency, customer experience, employee engagement and research & education.

    Promotes clinic growth.

    Partnering closely with service line and acute care executives, academic chairs, domain and service line management and business development to enable growth strategies.

    Developing business case, including financials, for new program development and capital projects.
    Ensures clinical alignment. Identifies and drives new program, physician and volume opportunities for the service line ensuring alignment with clinical leaders. Enables clinical excellence by aligning goals with the clinical leaders and removing barriers for clinical practice as needed

    Program Development - Collaborates with hospital administrative team and department director(s) for program development, implementation, budgeting, execution monitoring and evaluation of services at the hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.

    Maintains core/universal competencies and completes any new required learnings.
    Demonstrates all critical competencies and new required learnings.

    Qualifications

    Education
    Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field
    Experience

    5 or more years of progressive leadership experience in a complex organization including project management, collaborative decision-making, knowledge of healthcare and process skills.

    Experience leading physicians or multi-disciplinary teams to achieve desired outcomes.
