    Description

    Standard Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for an exciting travel nursing job. This is a 13 week Rapid Response Travel contract to Kealakekua, HI.

    Position Summary:

    • Provide care for patients during labor and childbirth. Monitor mother and baby during childbirth.
    • Responsible for identifying complications and reporting them to physicians and other medical specialists for further diagnostics and treatment.
    • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.

    Requirements:

    • A current Registered Nursing License.
    • A minimum of one (1) year recent Labor and Delivery experience in an acute care facility.
    • Current BLS, ACLS certification required.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
    • Ability to build rapport with patients.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
    • The ability to listen and understand information and ideas quickly.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
    • Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
    • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
    • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
