Partnership Management and Community Relations (30%)
Provide essential support for York Road Partnership's Youth Committee and initiatives targeted at young residents.
Facilitate collaboration with the leadership of the York Corridor Business Improvement Management Authority to ensure continued access to university facilities.
Serve as a Transform Mid-Atlantic AmeriCorps VISTA supervisor and participate in relevant meetings as required. Attend local and national gatherings pertinent to the role.
Collaborate with student leaders and the Govans Farmers Market Manager to promote local events and community activities along York Road through CCSJ's York Road Initiative communication platforms.
Position may entail occasional weekend and evening commitments.
*Carry out all other tasks and duties as delegated or directed by supervisors, including mandatory training sessions for the role.
Required Skills
5-8 years of experience working with grassroots organizations, community alliances, and/or youth-focused entities, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
Proven expertise in partnership cultivation, including coalition building, organizational structuring, project design, and adaptation to diverse and evolving circumstances.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate adept management skills, a propensity for innovative thinking, and the ability to deliver tangible outcomes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Adeptness in collaborating with diverse groups, showcasing a high level of cultural, racial, and economic awareness.
Flexibility to accommodate weekend and evening commitments.
Dedication to supporting the principles and values of a Catholic Jesuit education, in alignment with the diverse institutional objectives of the university.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience in program management and operational scheduling is advantageous.
Interest in or exposure to anti-racism initiatives or racial equity works is beneficial.
Capability to foster cooperative relationships within and between university and community networks is a plus.-

Seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Associate Director, Neighborhood Resilience to lead community-campus collaborations aimed at enhancing the resilience of the communities along the York Road corridor.
In this position, the Associate Director will form a key part of CCSJ's (Center for Community Service & Justice) leadership cohort and supervise a team of professionals.
Additionally, the Associate Director will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Director to ensure that the York Road spaces, such as Public Safety and the Govans Farmers Market site, promote social connections and community cohesion throughout the year.
CCSJ operates within the university's Mission and Identity Division, where team members actively contribute to the embodiment of our Jesuit, Catholic mission and values, emphasizing the intersection of faith-based service and advocacy for justice.
In collaboration with the York Road Partnership, design a series of pilot initiatives related to youth empowerment in anticipation of the opening of the Public Safety facility.
Identify potential partnerships, both within the community and on campus, that can support the advancement of wealth and well-being initiatives.
Identify and engage with pre-existing community-university programs that complement the overall program portfolio (e.g., Govans Expungement Clinics).
Work closely with the CCSJ Associate Director of Programs and the Faculty Director for Community Engaged Learning and Scholarship to establish and oversee student-led programs and academically-driven projects for the benefit of the York Road Corridor.
Assist the CCSJ's Executive Director in collaborating with campus assessment partners to structure and implement evaluation strategies using a Vital Conditions for Wellbeing Framework.
Establish a partnership with the Simon Center for Entrepreneurship to consider extending its support to local businesses and leveraging available space effectively.
Back student leaders in planning special events for the corridor, including the Annual Halloween Block Party and other seasonal community-building activities.
Support the CCSJ Executive Director in overseeing the daily functions of the York Road programming locations, which include the new Public Safety building and the current Govans Farmers Market site.
Develop a strong rapport with Loyola's Campus Police to ensure positive interactions with visitors to the public safety premises.
Collaborate with the CCSJ Executive Director to create and uphold university building regulations and risk management protocols for visitors, program participants, and community organizations utilizing flexible office spaces.
Assist the Executive Director in nurturing Loyola's partnerships along the York Road Corridor, including relationships with local schools and organizations dedicated to youth welfare.
This full-time position offers a hybrid salary in the range of $64,000 - $75,000.
