**Overview**

CHI St. Joseph Health College Station/Bryan TX Since 1936 CHI St. Joseph Health has been caring for the communities in Bryan College Station Brenham Hearne Navasota Caldwell Madisonville and Bellville. With the areas only Level II Trauma Center the first Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center and the first accredited Chest Pain Center in the Brazos Valley; CHI St. Joseph Health is a leader in critical care and the largest provider of cardiovascular care in the region. As an integrated healthcare system CHI St. Joseph Health includes a comprehensive network of over 100 employed providers including primary care physicians specialists and advanced practice clinicians. The network includes more than 20 ambulatory clinics featuring primary care a freestanding Emergency Room Express Clinics and imaging and diagnostic services.

As a Cook, you will prepare food for our patients, staff, and visitors, following safe cooking techniques. You will take pride and have a passion for cooking for those who cannot cook for themselves. You understand that most guests at our facility dine with us for a reason, and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about.

To be successful as a Cook, you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our customers expectations. Ultimately, a top-notch cook should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality.

**Responsibilities**

+ Prepares food for patients, staff, and visitors of the healthcare facility following safe cooking techniques.

+ Supports quality control measures such as recipe adherence and food quality consistency.

+ Maintains kitchen area to state required sanitary standards.

+ Completes all tasks on duty while adhering to safety standards and policies of the hospital.

**Qualifications**

+ Two (2) years Food Service experience.

+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ A Food Handlers Permit is required as outlined below:

**Pay Range**

$ $14.53 /hour
