Children's Institute for Learning Differences (CHILD) is dedicated to providing innovative school programs and therapies that support the social, emotional, and academic growth of children with special needs. CHILD offers a unique model of intervention and exceptional service quality in the region. With a strong focus on professional development, CHILD collaborates with various university and training programs to offer internships, staff training, and learning opportunities.

We are currently looking for a Washington State licensed OTR to join our team of OT, SLP, LMHC, and Special Education professionals in our school program.

Our organization serves families and children aged 4 to 17 who experience learning disabilities, developmental delays, sensory processing issues, and social-emotional needs. The occupational therapist plays a crucial role in supporting children, families, and our education team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

5 years' experience as a Pediatric OTR/L
Minimum of 1 year OTR/L experience in a school setting, including IEP development
Demonstrated professionalism in maintaining confidentiality, client safety, and communication
Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines for reports and evaluations
Adaptability and flexibility to address changing client needs
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students and clients
Effective communication with team members
Proficient in written communication and documentation
Observational skills to accurately interpret human behavior

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

Master's degree in occupational therapy
Current valid Washington State Occupational Therapy License
Current certification by National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
ESA (Education Staff Associate) Certification through OSPI preferred
