    We are currently recruiting for a Regional Staff Accountant for our Franklin, TN facility. This role will report to the Southeast Regional Controller and will be responsible for the operations of the regions accounting department, which includes, but is not limited to, preparing journal entries, preparing fixed asset records, billing, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing financial reports, supporting annual budget preparation, maintaining financial controls, and supporting interim and year-end financial audits for the Southeast Region. This position requires interacting with operations and management regarding the discussion and decision analysis of site level and regional financial information. Must have excellent analytical skills and solid knowledge of US GAAP financial accounting principles to perform accounting duties that would minimize the financial risk of the company.

    Responsibilities:
    • Preparing general ledger journal entries
    • Preparing monthly general ledger account reconciliations
    • Performing customer billings
    • Preparing fixed asset records and rollforwards
    • Posting customer credit and debit memos
    • Supporting interim and year-end financial audits
    • Supporting physical inventory, as required
    • Performing ad hoc financial analysis
    • Own Accounts receivable and collection efforts for multiple plants in the region.
    • Performing weekly financial review of trial balance and subledger detail and identify/communicate issues or trends that require action
    • Prepare and publish periodic financial reports to management (e.g. sales)
    • Other financial and reporting duties as required
    Qualifications:
    • 1 to 3 years of staff accounting experience with a manufacturing organization or environment.
    • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles
    • Experience preparing and analyzing general ledger account reconciliations
    • Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliation of same
    • Thorough understanding of financial application security ensuring that all financial data is secure and complies with confidentiality policies
    • Must possess excellent type written, written and verbal communication skills
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Established skills in accuracy, organization, meeting deadlines and working in a high-volume environment
    • Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within the company

    Education Requirements

    • 4-year degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university.
    • CPA or CMA a plus, but not required

    Software and Information Systems Requirements

    • Experience using ERP systems, including AP, AR, GL, inventory, payroll and fixed asset modules
    • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, v lookups and other related analytical tools found within Excel
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Strong data entry skills
