    A client of Insight Global is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their Washington, DC service team.

    This person will ultimately be responsible for maintaining and repairing data center hardware equipment, including mid to high-end servers, storage, and network devices from numerous OEMs (IBM, Dell, HP, Cisco, etc).

    This person will respond to 35-40 tickets a month, all within their book of business, and it will be their responsibility to call the customer associated with each ticket, diagnose the issue, grab any necessary parts from the hub, and head to the customers site to repair as requested.

    75% of their day will consist of interacting with customers, driving to various customer sites, and working on data center equipment, while the rest of their time will be spent learning/training (at the hub or at home) to continuously expand their skillset.

    This is a Mon-Fri, 8:30AM-5PM schedule, with some mandatory overtime and a required 24/7 on-call rotation with the team (every 5 weeks they will be on-call).

    . -Experience working on data center equipment
    • General field service experience; comfortable traveling to various customer locations daily within a 90 mile radius 2+ years of experience working on servers/storage/networking devices from numerous OEMs (IBM, Dell, HP, Cisco, etc)
    • Experience in a customer-facing role/interacting with customers to diagnose an issue
    • Strong troubleshooting skills, specifically with computer hardware
    • Ability to work efficiently, while being completely independent (manager does not sit out of DC, jobs are completed solo)
