    As Corporate Financial Controller at Century you are responsible for all accounting, finance, and tax matters for Century's North America operations including six separate subsidiaries. Our Financial Controller will also manage personnel for accounting department headquartered in our Richmond office.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations and accounting staff
    • Monitor revenues. direct costs, receivables, payables and SGA expenses
    • Research and resolve complex accounting issues that occur
    • Financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
    • Coordinate auditing processes and manage relationship with external auditors
    • Ensure accuracy of financial information
    • Keep Company compliant in tax and financial regulatory matters
    • Report Company results to the Chief Financial Officer
    Requirements:

    EDUCATONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
    • CPA or other related accounting designation is required
    • 10 years of experience working in finance/accounting required
    • Minimum of 5 years experience as Controller or Corporate Financial Management experience
    • Minimum two (2) years of Supervisory/Management experience preferably as a Controller, Director of Accounting or Corporate Finance professional
    • Master's degree is preferred
    • Strong understanding of accounting procedures and GAAP
    • Experience with financial reporting requirements
    • Superior Excel skills are essential.
    • Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent use of logic and a big-picture method abilities when approaching tasks.
    • Strong organizational skills to effectively deal with multiple tasks are important.
