Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide.
Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other federal agencies, all over the world.
The Electrical Engineer will provide technical expertise in the design and coordination of complex and sophisticated projects involving the construction, renovation and repair of facilities for the 183 schools under the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) and BIE facilities around the country.
This position will monitor and track progress of designated projects and provide routine reports of accomplishments to appropriate officials and officesThis is a two-year project.
The salary range for this position, based on the market data, is $100k-$120k/year (range varies depending on experience and qualifications).
Key responsibilities:
Provide expert professional technical assistance and support to the organization in the electrical engineering fieldPerform professional engineering and project management work to protect life, safety, health and propertyReview designs, plans and specifications for electrical and other systems of major size and complexity for use in facilitiesProvide professional consultations on a wide range of difficult unforeseen problems on design interfaces, regulatory limitations and to exchange information and expedite workReview preliminary and final engineering plans, specifications and cost estimates to ensure design excellence and compliance with specificationsUse computer software and management programs and project tracking programs to solve engineering problems and facilitate workManage construction projects for construction, renovations and improvements to real property facilitiesAssist in analyzing the critical path schedule for design and construction projectsPrepare, review and approve project documents for design, construction, renovation or repairPerform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed Qualifications to be successful in the role: Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringMust be a licensed Professional EngineerKnowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles and practicesExtensive experience handling electrical engineering renovation projectsComprehensive knowledge in site planning, building design and construction means, methods and codesExtensive knowledge of scheduling, material and labor cost estimating sufficient to evaluate compliance environmental health, safety and protection requirementsAble to use computer software programs such as MS Office and CADDWith a valid driver's licenseMust lawfully reside in the United States and eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits) Visit our career site to know more about our other openings.
