Software Architect Position at McKesson

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Architect to join our team at McKesson. As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex software systems. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical and communication skills to lead and mentor team members, drive technical discussions, and collaborate with partners and customers to align their needs with system architecture. Your primary focus will be on building scalable, highly available systems using modern technologies.

Minimum Requirements / Criteria:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, software architecture or a related field
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring frameworks
• Expertise in designing scalable, highly available systems
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and container orchestration systems
• Experience with message brokers like Kafka and streaming data processing platforms like Flink
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and requirements analysis
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Critical Skills:

• Design and implement complex software systems using modern technologies and tools
• Develop software architectures that are scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant
• Lead technical discussions with partners and customers
• Work with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery
• Define software architecture best practices and standards
• Perform code reviews and provide guidance to development teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience as a team lead or manager
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies
• Passion for staying up-to-date with emerging trends
• Experience with Gradle build tool
• Experience with High Availability (HA) systems
