This role will be responsible to manage and supervise all aspects of the materials department including production scheduling, inventory control, procurement and distribution, to ensure product health and timely shipments of customer orders.
Responsibilities:
Leads team members within procurement, planning, and material functions of the operation.
Responsible for the implementation, support and governance of the Materials Flow through the site using standard work processes and systems to facilitate the fulfillment process from inventory planning to material procurement, warehousing and manufacturing.
Achieves customer fill rates and overall inventory turn targets through effective execution of purchasing requirements including supplier interface as necessary.
Engages with cross functional teams to develop plans for managing inventory levels to support customer requirements.Analyzes and optimizes plans by adjusting and maintaining necessary planning parameters.
Enhance Kanban system including pull signals, material flow, and stocking levels.
Coordinates resolution of material related issues with the appropriate departments and/or suppliers to ensure availability of required materials.
Work with Strategic Sourcing to improve supplier quality and delivery.
Implement processes and controls to achieve accuracy of inventory counts, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and completing root cause corrective actions to guard against inconsistencies in the future.
Operates as a lean leader emphasizing a kaizen culture and coaching team members to be autonomous problem solvers.Develop, analyze, and communicate materials metrics and standards of performance.
Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, or business administration. A master's degree or relevant certifications (like APICS CPIM or CSCP) is preferred.
3+ years of experience in leading Materials Team
Relevant experience in integrated materials management in Medical Industry
Demonstrated experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, and/or related areas.
ERP system knowledge with strong linkage of financial, material and supply flows.
Leadership:
Must have strong proven supervisory and leadership skills
Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data-driven decision-making is essential for optimizing inventory levels.
Communication:
Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with various teams, negotiate with stakeholders and present a cohesive plan with actions /decisions.
Change Agent:
Strong passion to add value and drive sustainable change management processes.
Problem-Solving:
The ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and implement strategies to resolve inventory-related issues is crucial. Demonstrate initiative and have ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with ERP systems, Planning Processes, and inventory analysis tools.
Organizational Savvy. Balances different views and interests of the members of the organization when developing solutions.
ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Include whether or not position will be required to work in clean room, near or with heavy machinery, ability to lift heavy objects, ability to wear protective gear in lab, etc
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to Travel
Pay / Compensation
The expected pre-tax pay rate for this position is $105,000 - $150,000
Actual pay may fluctuate outside of the listed range depending on skills, education, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
