- Responsibilities:
- Collate monthly, quarterly, and annual invoices using proprietary and funder templates for timely submission to funders. Maintain backup documentation to support invoices based on funder/organization requirements.
- Review subrecipient invoices to ensure contract compliance for all grants.
- Manage grant accounts receivable records, invoices, and payments. Follow up with funders regarding payment discrepancies or unpaid invoices.
- Navigate and submit funder requested billings, transactions, and contract documents in various online platforms.
- Monitor and create grant budgets and modifications. Develop budget projections to efficiently spend grant funds, collaborating continuously with the accounting and grants management team.
- Ensure expenditures align with grant and program budgets throughout the funding period.
- Participate in month-end and quarter-end closes. Assist in drafting financial statements, supporting analysis, ad-hoc financial reports, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare monthly journal entries.
- Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, including auditing timecards, hours, earnings reconciliation, quarterly and annual reporting reviews, and other ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Prepare documentation for annual audit, including workpapers and responses for funder audit requests.
- Undertake additional accounting duties and ad-hoc projects as required, such as accounts payable responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in an accounting-related field.
- Experience in non-profit organizations is preferred.
