Job summary
The Cardiopulmonary Technician will primarily be responsible for the continuous monitoring and interpreting of cardiac physiological data, detecting and documenting any changes in heart rhythm and arrhythmias according to department standards, and reporting any problems to a registered nurse or physician.Responsibilities
- Immediately review and validate alarms to reduce "false alarms" and improve detection of actual adverse events by providing a consistent method for EKG monitoring and enhancing patient safety.
- Maintain equipment to ensure proper function. This includes proper placement and function of all cables and monitors connected to patient.
