    As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the performance of multi-user computer systems, virtual computer systems, and Commercial Off-The
    • Shelf (COTS) software products.

    Your duties will include system administration, patching, backup and restore operations, software license management, and assisting the Information Assurance (IA) Team with account management and system vulnerability management.

    You will be an integral part of our SA Team, contributing to the reliability and security of our computer systems.

    Complete DescriptionThe Linux Systems Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our multi-user computer systems and COTS software products.

    You will work closely with the SA Team, providing support for system administration tasks within the scope of the contract.

    Your responsibilities will include monitoring system performance, resolving performance issues, performing backups and restores, and patching system and operating system software.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Monitor and correct system performance issues to maintain optimal system functionality.
    Perform regular backups and restore critical files and data.
    Patch system and operating system software to ensure security and performance updates are applied.
    Manage software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor requirements.
    Collaborate with the Information Assurance (IA) Team to assist with account management and system vulnerability management.
    Maintain operations of multi-user computer systems and virtual computer systems.
    Work with Red Hat Linux, Microsoft Windows, IBM AIX, and Cisco IOS environments.
    Provide on-the-job training on system configuration and assist in deploying software/hardware deliveries.
    Support special projects and assist operational crews and contractor teams in resolving system and network issues.

    Assist the IA team by providing access to system logs, instructions for monitoring user accounts, and identifying and responding to security issues/incidents.

    Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
    Experience with OpenStack or VMWare and OpenShift in Red Hat Linux environments.
    Familiarity with Red Hat Linux, Microsoft Windows, IBM AIX, and Cisco IOS.Knowledge of Agile Methodologies for efficient project management.
    Experience with system administration, patching, backup and restore operations.
    Knowledge of Ansible/Ansible Tower and scripting experience.
    Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    Preferred Requirements Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline systems, virtualization, and software environment development.
