    Family Therapist
    The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) is hiring as we expand our Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) services.


    MDFT is an innovative family-centered therapeutic approach that is extremely effective in treating adolescents and young adults with substance abuse and mental health disorders.

    This approach includes working with the youth, the parents, the family, and community supports. More information on MDFT is available at


    We are looking for therapists interested in becoming trained and certified in MDFT while working in CADAs Daniel Bryant Adolescent Treatment program. Opportunities for advancement and on-going training will be offered over the course of this 5 year grant funded program expansion.
    Full time (40 hrs/wk) and part time (20+ hrs/wk) positions available in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and Lompoc


    We are looking for Licensed or Associate Marriage & Family Therapists, Clinical Social Workers of Professional Clinical Counselors with a passion for helping youth and families to become part of our team.


    Trainee or MA Student in Practicum would be considered for the right candidate.

    The right candidate will:
    Be optimistic about change and a have a genuinely positive outlook about people

    Complete paperwork adequately:
    turns it in on time and is careful and thoughtful about it
    Manage time, stressors, and demands well
    Follow supervisors guidance and suggestions
    Be open to learning and enhancing his/her therapy and MDFT skills
    Be committed to helping his/her clients

    Have positive teamwork orientation:
    likes to be part of a team and collaborates well


    Qualifications:
    MFT, AMFT, LCSW, ACSW, LPCC, or APCC with current registration with BBS
    (Trainee or MA/MS Student in practicum considered)
    Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults

    Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)

    Rate increase for Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) & for relevant training/experience

    Clinical supervision (group and triad) provided for associates/trainees
    On-going Clinical monitoring, feedback, & training provided through MDFT International.

    Covid-19 vaccination is required for meeting with clients in person.

    There is a possibility of this job being part time if the right candidate is part time in another job or private practice setting. A minimum of 20 hrs/wk is needed to be spent in the office or in sessions with clients in order to properly administer the services.
