- Design and produce a wide range of print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, signage, reports, infographics, and social media graphics;
- Collaborate with county departments and program managers to conceptualize and execute visual communication projects that align with organizational objectives and target audience needs;
- Develop creative concepts, layouts, and designs that effectively convey complex information, data, and ideas in a visually appealing and accessible format;
- Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all county communications materials, maintaining a cohesive visual identity and brand presence;
- Utilize graphic design software and tools to create high-quality graphics and multimedia content, incorporating typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy principles;
- Stay informed about design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance design capabilities and effectiveness;
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and delivering projects on time and within budget;
- Collaborate with printers, vendors, and external partners to coordinate production and ensure quality control of printed materials;
- Provide design support and guidance to county staff, offering expertise on design principles, file formats, and printing specifications;
- Adapt designs for various platforms and audiences, optimizing graphics for web, social media, email, and other digital channels as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field;
- Proven experience in graphic design, preferably in a government, nonprofit, or public sector setting;
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools;
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative design projects, including print and digital materials, branding, and visual storytelling;
- Excellent design skills with a keen eye for detail, composition, and typography;
- Ability to interpret and translate complex information into engaging and visually appealing designs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of printing processes, file formats, and production techniques;
