    Description

    Professional Counselor

    We are seeking a professional counselor to provide counseling and mental health services to university students.

    About the Role

    • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students
    • Develop and implement mental health outreach programs for the university community
    • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other campus resources to support student well-being

    Requirements

    • Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work from an accredited institution
    • Licensed in the state of Virginia as a psychologist, counselor or social worker
    • Licensed eligible within one year as a Professional Counselor, psychologist or Clinical Social Worker
    • Working knowledge of college student development and counseling best practices
    • Demonstrated ability to supervise mental health professionals in training

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience working in a college counseling center, including supervising practicum and internship students
