- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to nursing staff on clinical patient issues. Directs patient care using a case management model. Assures adherence to agency policies and procedures.
- Dedicates 10% of his/her overall responsibilities to the Quality Management Committee. The Regional Nurse Manager is an active participant of the committee; responsible for the organization's Infection Control and Prevention program and tracking of Hand Hygiene and Influenza Vaccination. Evaluates data and reviews progress based on results.
- Exhibits and maintains knowledge of Infusion nursing, pharmacy services, payment practices and overall understanding of infusion business.
- Ensures that all physicians' orders are current and being followed precisely by nursing staff.
- Promotes infusions related home nursing referrals in the home care community.
- Provides care as defined within the scope of the state's nurse practice act.
- Assists in the development of organization goals. Develops, recommends, and administers agency policies and procedures.
- Supervises, educates, and coaches other nursing personnel.
- Plans and implements in-service and training programs.
- Serves as active participant of Performance Improvement Committee.
- Oversees proper maintenance of clinical records, statistics, reports, and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting organization activities.
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
- Serves and protects the Pharmacy by adhering to professional standards, company policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and URAC/TJC/ACHC standard of care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing.
