A local Jamestown company is seeking experienced and dynamic Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team and drive innovation in our organization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, extensive technical expertise, and a proven track record in managing engineering projects from conception to production. As the Director of Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the organization by developing new products, overseeing project progress, and ensuring the achievement of long-range goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the work of the engineering staff to ensure efficient project execution and attainment of organizational goals.
• Oversee engineering staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to facilitate their professional growth and development.
• Collaborate with the CEO to establish long-range operating and manufacturing goals tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
• Lead the development of new products, from conceptualization and design to testing and production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
• Work closely with the marketing department to assess market potential for new products and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Monitor project progress and timeliness, conducting regular reviews to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations for engineering staff, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Recruit additional engineering staff as necessary to meet project requirements and organizational objectives.
• Perform other related duties as required to support the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong managerial and supervisory skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Extensive technical knowledge of engineering principles and product development processes.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management, with the ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.

• Direct Hire
• Full-time
• 1st shift, Monday through Friday
• Pay Rate is $125k-$138k per year.
