    The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, Office of Property and Resource Development, is committed to developing and managing safe, decent, affordable, and well-maintained housing for low and extremely low-income persons who are affected by mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or substance use disorders.

    Are you an experienced professional seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in property management? Look no further We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Property Manager to join our team. As a Property Manager, you will be directly responsible for the professional management of an extensive array of housing structures and programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage, plan, develop, organize, coordinate, implement, and supervise property staff, overseeing the daily operations and functions of various housing programs including the State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP), LIHTC, Project Based Section 8 contracts, and other rental assistance programs.
    • Oversee the financial operations of assigned properties, ensuring accurate budgeting, rent collection, and financial reporting.
    • Conduct annual interviews and inspections to ensure compliance with program requirements and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting related to assigned State Performance Contract programs.
    • Work independently under the general supervision of the Director of Property and Resource Development.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of property management experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Valid Virginia driver's license.


    The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
