Description

The Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of extrusion blow molds, fixtures, and related tooling.

You WillDesign and draw preliminary sketches and detailed drawings; using CAD software.

Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical information concerning manufacturing techniques, equipment, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations.

Evaluate product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine design feasibility.
Recommend modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Analyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Partner with Project Engineers and Technicians to implement operating procedures, provide technical feedback, and prepare design modifications.

Associate's degree in Engineering, Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum of five years of design engineering experience; plastics or molding experience preferredProficiency using 3D modeling software; Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor preferredKnowledge and demonstrated use of related computer software, i
