- Complete and providemonthly reports to funding sources.
- Monitor budgets for various programs.
- Oversee employee benefit deductions and payments to benefit providers.
- Monitor and accrue staff benefits in compliance with agency policies.
- Maintain accurate agency accounting records in compliance with agency accounting policies.
- Review program budgets for accuracy and compliance with funding requirements.
- Assist with agency audit and program monitoring.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Maintain a high degree of communication and coordination with the CFO, Administration staff and other Agency staff, always working toward the best interest of the Agency, clients and staff.
- Must possess good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Experience with computer software applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and good time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with agency staff and the public.

Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing and submitting agency financial reports, processing employee benefits, and maintaining accurate agency accounting records along with other accounting duties for a non-profit organization.

Four year degree in accounting or finance is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Required Skills:
Schedule/Hours: This position is full time at 40 hours per week. Scheduled hours are normally Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Pay Rate: Starting wage is $19.25 an hour. Additional pay may be considered for individuals with extensive accounting experience.
Benefits: With benefits the wage calculates to an approximate value of $24.64 an hour. Agency benefits include: paid holidays, PTO, short term disability insurance, and Employee Assistance Program. Other benefits available include: health, dental, vision, cancer/critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident, and voluntary life insurance, as well as retirement and flexible spending account.
