    Our Mission:
    We work tirelessly every day to ensure each child in NYC has access to a fun, rigorous, whole-child education regardless of zip code or economic status. When you join SA, you play a part in giving every student who walks through the doors of one of our 57 schools in NYC a fair shot at reaching his or her potential.

    The Role:
    You will join a team of professionals committed to teaching and preparing children from low-income neighborhoods to be self-assured thinkers and leaders, capable of exploring and debating sophisticated ideas, and ready for college and whatever they set their sights on. At Success Academy, our Science program ignites a passion in scholars for scientific thinking and curiosity. We develop our scholars as citizens of science, empowering them to engage creatively, critically, and meaningfully with the world around them in ways that are endlessly fascinating, complex, and philosophical.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Scholars engage flexibly with different scientific disciplines, compelling them to see engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry, and biology as all interdependent. We also place a strong emphasis on scientific literacy, with special attention to reading, writing, and data literacy. As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to shape young minds and help them grow into confident learners. Your responsibilities will include developing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to improve instruction.

    Requirements:
    A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy. A rigorous and relevant academic major (i.e., biology, chemistry, physics, engineering) is required. You must be able to supervise a classroom of 20+ students and work in person in New York City ($2500 stipend for qualified relocations).
