We are seeking a reliable, professional, experienced and driven Legal Assistant / Paralegal to become a part of our growing team in the Memorial area of Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
• Greet visitors and answer incoming calls
• Record and file client information
• Perform administrative tasks including filing, photocopying and processing mail
• Other related duties as required and assigned
• Assist with office administration

​Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience/combined education required; with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the legal profession
• Previous experience in Chapter 11 bankruptcy / restructuring work will be favorably considered
• Previous experience with bankruptcy management software Best Case will be favorably considered
• Previous experience with complex business litigation also favorably considered
• Previous "Big firm" experience is preferable but not required
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Organized, energetic and self-directed with a professional appearance
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Deadline and detail-oriented

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with teammates as well as clients. You should be very well organized and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks with time-management skills.
