Job DescriptionAs a Sr Staff Applications Engineer (Automotive Power) for Renesas you will be a senior technical contributor and decision maker in new power management applications in the automotive environment. You will engage cross functionally with a diverse team including marketing, software engineering, IC design, and other applications engineering teams to deliver the most innovative power solutions in the automotive sector.
This senior role provides broad system level solution insight and support. A broad comprehension of DC/DC power conversion is required including familiarity with digital PWM controllers. Key responsibilities include:
This role requires technical strength in high performance power management (mid- and low-voltage high-current DC/DC) and automotive power, including functional safety. Experience with multiphase CPU VRs is highly desirable. Typical requirements are a minimum of 10 years of relevant semiconductor experience, with at least 3 years in automotive power management and experience as a functional safety engineer. A BS degree in engineering (EE – power electronics preferred), with MS degree preferred.
