Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic delivery team In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods efficiently and on time. Your focus will be on providing excellent customer service, ensuring accurate load and unload procedures, and maintaining a clean driving record. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your driving skills and attention to detail make a real impact.
Duties
- Safely operate a box truck for local route deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route logs
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance
- Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and reduce fuel consumption
- Assist with warehouse activities including moving inventory and organizing shipments
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or driver certification with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving expertise
- Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform manual lifting tasks safely
- Warehouse experience including familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving equipment is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety procedures for heavy vehicle operation
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing delivery schedules
