    Description

    Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Process Engineer will look to come in and make a quick impact on improving high-volume manufacturing processes at my client's facility located north of Chicago. The main goal of this position is to increase production capabilities, but you will also be working on exciting automation projects

    I am partnered with a family-owned job shop manufacturer who serves a very diverse and stable client base, and is experiencing impressive growth numbers. With plans to continue their long term expansion, they are looking to bring on more engineers to join their team in order to optimize CNC manufacturing processes and serve their customers as best as possible.

    Description

    • Work closely with production to drive process improvements and troubleshoot machinery
    • Perform cycle time studies
    • Play a key role in implementing projects to automate machinery and processes
    • Work within CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) for machine cell layouts
    • Manage ISO9001 audits
    • Create and implement KPIs to monitor productivity

    Profile

    • 2+ years' experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
    • Mechanical degree or similar engineering degree required
    • Strong understanding of LEAN principles
    • Familiarity with ISO9001 requirements
    • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
    • Experience working with/troubleshooting industrial equipment
    • Background working with CNC machinery preferred
    • Understanding of PLCs/Ladder Logic preferred
    • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

    Job Offer

    • Base salary $90,000-110,000 depending on level of experience
    • Significant annual bonus incentive based on company performance
    • Profit sharing program into retirement account - 5-6% annually
    • 2+ weeks PTO
