- Implementing new safety procedures and policies
- Collecting, updating and preparation of safety data (i.e. OSHA 300 Log, MDSD library, etc)
- Developing charts/graphs on safety metrics from collected data
- Maintaining safety regulatory registrations, certifications, listings and related correspondence
- Developing and maintaining training matrices for safety related training
- Developing and publishing safety training modules, classes, and coordinating outside safety training
- Directing the activities of the Safety Committee
- Investigating and tracking of accidents and near misses
- Coordinating the company's DOT program
- Organize and distribute plant-wide safety communications
- Participate in machinery and plant hazard assessment
- Manage the company's PPE and First Aid supplies
- Performing weekly safety and bi-weekly 6S inspections
- Driving continuous improvement of the company's safety program
- Additional items as assigned by managerPRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANYThis position interacts with all company employees.
