- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of required paraprofessional training or certification as per state and local regulations
- Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs under the direction of classroom teachers and special education staff
- Assist with classroom management, instructional support, and behavior reinforcement
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations as directed by supervising educators
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to address student needs and ensure academic progress
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
